The incident is said to have occurred on the morning of November 7 during the Chinese vessel's journey to Russia and the port of Ust-Luga.
According to TV2, data on the vessel's movements show that it slowed down from 13 knots to 0.5 knots just as it passed over three underwater cables off Kungsbacka on the Swedish side and Läsö off the Danish coast.
According to the channel, it involves two power cables and one data cable for transmission between Denmark and Sweden. None of the cables are known to have been affected by any problems.
The vessel became known to the world ten days later, when it was suspected of being involved in the sabotage of two underwater cables between Sweden and Lithuania, and Finland and Germany, on its way from the Russian port.
