A child under 15 years old is suspected of being involved in the fatal shooting in Södertälje on Tuesday, which P4 Stockholm was the first to report on.
If the person had been an adult, the charge would have been aiding and abetting murder, according to prosecutor Mikael Carlsson.
The investigation is ongoing according to the law on young offenders. We have appointed a legal representative for the person and an interrogation was held with them during the afternoon, he says to TT.
Since the person is not criminally liable, it is not possible to detain, arrest or remand them in custody, according to the prosecutor.
Now it's up to social services to decide if any further measures will be taken, says Mikael Carlsson.
Since Tuesday evening, another person has been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting murder. By Friday at 12 o'clock at the latest, the prosecutor will decide whether the person will be released or requested to be remanded in custody.
It was early on Tuesday morning that a man was found seriously injured by gunfire in the Blombacka area of Södertälje. He later died of his injuries.
