Nanna Olasdotter Hallberg transforms Shakespeare's classic drama into a modern political satire, and Camilla Henemark plays Ariel, but in the form of an Onlyfans star.
"I love Nanna's wonderful, wild fantasy that is still so incredibly spot on modern. It was a bit of a dream to get to work with her", says Henemark in a press release.
The former Army of Lovers star also sings a specially written composition by musician Jonas Lundqvist.
Also participating are, among others, Johannes Kuhnke, Olle Sarri, Susan Taslimi, and Christian Fandango Sundgren.
The scene is Sveriges Radio Drama's investment in re-interpretations of Shakespeare's plays. In 2025, "Hamlet", "Romeo and Juliet", and "A Winter's Tale" will also be released.
"The Tempest" will be released on January 20 in Sveriges Radio Play.
