An increase in the reduction obligation from 6 to 10 percent next year is a complete turnaround from the government and SD. A reduction was one of the Tidö parties' most important election promises.
Last week, the government announced that the increase will contribute to Sweden reaching the EU's climate goals by 2030, but no details were provided.
In Ekot's Saturday interview, Energy and Trade Minister Ebba Busch (KD) is asked why it was not mentioned at the press conference that an important reason for reaching the goal is the previous red-green government's high reduction obligation.
According to Ekot, this means that there is a saved space that this government can now count on.
The important thing for us is reduced emissions overall, and it is primarily the heavy emissions in industry and the heavy emissions in the transport sector that should account for this, not individual households, says Ebba Busch.
She further states that a reason for not mentioning it is that the entire budget has not yet been presented, and that the Tidö parties were caught off guard by the news leaking out in SVT.
It doesn't always turn out as planned. It was barely possible for me to even attend my own press conference about my own news in my own area, says Busch.
