On repeated occasions during the fall and winter, a bus driver drove children to Blötbergets school in Ludvika municipality while simultaneously watching videos on his mobile phone, reports P4 Dalarna.
One of the children who rode the bus eventually filmed the driver and showed it to their mother. The video shows the bus being driven on a winding 70-road with winter road conditions while the driver is watching Tiktok and having video calls on their mobile.
The mother contacted Dalatrafik but initially felt that she didn't get a response to her concern. It wasn't until twelve days later that Dalatrafik contacted the driver's employer, Transdev, which then gave him a written warning. He was also suspended from his job for three weeks, but later returned to duty.
Transdev tells P4 Dalarna that the company has specifically informed the driver and broadly reminded them of the laws and regulations that apply.
