Martin Lee passed away on Sunday, the group announced in a statement via the British news agency PA.

Brotherhood of Man sang the song "Save your kisses for me" for the United Kingdom in the European Championship Song Contest 1976 in The Hague in the Netherlands. The song has become a Eurovision classic.

Sweden did not participate in 1976 after the debate that the European Championship Song Contest in Stockholm the year before had caused.

Brotherhood of Man was founded as early as 1969 and Martin Lee joined the group three years later. The heyday was during the 1970s and 80s, when several of the group's hits ended up on the charts. After temporarily disbanding, Brotherhood of Man reunited and toured together all the way into the 2020s.
