In total, nine concern reports were made. The school alerted that the boy had offered students cannabis and waved a wad of cash. The parents feared that their son had become a runner for criminals. Even the police and curators at BUP (child and adolescent psychiatry) sounded the alarm.

Despite all the warning signs, Värnamo municipality failed to prevent a 15-year-old boy from traveling to Denmark for a suspected murder assignment, a review by P4 Jönköping shows.

Now, Fredrik Wallström, responsible administrative manager at the municipality, has decided that the social services will investigate themselves according to Lex Sarah.

With hindsight, we could have intervened with other measures aimed at this boy earlier, he says to P4 Jönköping.

According to the channel, the parents were instead offered talks about setting boundaries with family therapists.

It was in April that the boy was arrested in Denmark. He is suspected of having been on his way to shoot one or more members of a motorcycle gang.
