A boy has died after a drowning accident at Läckö Castle on Monday, reports Nya Lidköpings-Tidningen.
It was on Monday afternoon that the Sea and Air Rescue Center was alerted to Läckö Castle outside Lidköping. A man in his 40s and a preschool-aged boy were pulled out of the water and taken to the hospital urgently. The man's life could not be saved, confirmed the police on Monday evening.
The boy's condition was life-threatening. He was cared for at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg throughout the week. The hospital announced on Friday morning that the boy has died.
Relatives have been informed.
