The President of the USA, Joe Biden, called Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday to discuss, among other things, a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
"The President emphasized the importance of reaching an agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages, and discussed upcoming talks in Cairo to eliminate any remaining obstacles", the White House stated in a statement.
The Vice President, also a presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, also participated in the conversation.
