There were big headlines when Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck failed to stay together – despite it being the second time around.
The couple got married in July 2022 and filed for divorce in August 2024. They had first met in the early 2000s and had been together for several years.
Now, Ben Affleck says in an interview with GQ that he kept a low profile because he felt embarrassed that the relationship didn't work out. He says that the couple probably would have needed to go to couples therapy together to "sort out their lives and relationships".
In the documentary "The greatest love story never told", many fans thought Affleck seemed unhappy and as if he didn't want to participate, something he denies.
If I were to be involved, I would try to do it in an honest way. I thought it was interesting, there are many who have handled their celebrity better than I have, Jennifer is one of them. I'm a bit more reserved and private than she is.
He also says that the documentary did not contribute to the breakdown of the marriage.
