Almgren missed the Olympic Games – ready for comeback

Andreas Almgren traveled to Paris – but no Olympic Games jumping was to be for the 29-year-old.

A stress reaction in the tibia stopped the star from 5,000 meters at Stade de France.

Now the Swede is ready for the cross-country European Championship in Antalya, Turkey on December 8, according to Radiosporten.

"Exciting to compete again, almost half a year since my last race", Almgren writes on Instagram.

Andreas Almgren, who has set several Swedish records this year, has not competed since his fourth place at the European Championship in Rome, Italy this summer.
