The Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman is the artistic leader for a dance performance at the Paralympics opening ceremony in Paris on August 28, according to the Paralympics Committee's website.
Over 150 dancers, including several professionals with disabilities, will bring the opening ceremony to life.
Alexander Ekman was educated at the Royal Swedish Ballet School from 1994 to 2001 and has been a dancer at, among others, the Royal Opera and Nederlands Dans Theater. He broke through as a choreographer for Cullberg Ballet with the work "The Swingle Sisters" in 2006 and has created over fifty works.
