A person has been taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter after an incident at Skara Sommarland on Saturday, which Expressen was the first to report on.
It was one of our lifeguards who discovered a person lying still in the pool, says Gabriella Granditsky, press officer at Skara Sommarland to TT.
The lifeguard picked up the person and started CPR until the ambulance arrived. The extent of the person's injuries is currently unclear.
Skara Sommarland is now working on providing support to the involved employees.
Pool safety is the highest priority and therefore we have a large number of lifeguards on site as well as information to our guests on how to swim safely, says Granditsky.
When accidents happen in our park, we go through what happened and if we need to change our routines to further improve safety.
In the evening, another alarm about drowning was received from Skara Sommarland, according to P4 Skaraborg. However, the rescue service tells TT that the operation was cancelled and no accident occurred.
