A person who was detained on reasonable suspicion of aiding and abetting a murder in Södertälje on Tuesday has been released. The person is still suspected, but there was not sufficient reason for detention, according to the Prosecution Authority in a press release.
"We are continuing to work on identifying the perpetrators and other involved parties. This is being done, among other things, through interrogations and various technical investigations. I still have good hopes that we will solve this," says Deputy Chief Prosecutor Mikael Carlsson, who is leading the preliminary investigation.
Another person, under 15 years of age, is still suspected of involvement in the murder.
It was early on Tuesday morning that a man was found seriously shot in the Blombacka area of Södertälje. He later died from his injuries.
