About 80 migrants were rescued by British authorities on Thursday, after their boat ran into trouble in the English Channel.
The migrants were on their way to the UK from France when they got into difficulties on the risky waters between the two countries. The British Coast Guard sent out two helicopters to assist in the rescue operation.
It is estimated that over 10,000 people have made the journey so far in 2024, which is a significant increase from last year.
