39 people are missing and 26 people have been found dead after a landslide at a dump site in Uganda's capital Kampala.
Authorities and residents in the area have long warned of the acute danger that the garbage mountain would collapse and fall over buildings in the vicinity.
This is what happened on Saturday morning, August 10, when heavy rain set the landfill masses in motion.
35 residents in the area and four dump employees are still missing, says Ugandan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango.
Residents near the dump are now demanding that the city authorities take responsibility.
