Iran's president Masoud Pezeshkian was injured in an Israeli attack during the twelve-day long war between the countries, according to two sources within the American intelligence service to the TV channel CBS News.
Iranian state-controlled media reported last week that Pezeshkian attended a meeting with the country's national security council when Israel attacked. The picture that the sources state to CBS News is consistent with the picture that Iran has conveyed.
In addition to the president, several other high-ranking leaders were in the building for the meeting.
It does not appear whether the attack was directed at the president or not.
