Israel is sending humanitarian aid to Syria's Sweida province, after days of deadly clashes in the region.
"In light of the recent attacks directed against the Druze population in Sweida and the severe humanitarian situation in the area, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has ordered an immediate transfer of humanitarian aid to the Druze population in the region", said the Foreign Ministry in a statement.
The package of two million shekels (nearer 6 million kronor) includes food packages and medical supplies, said the department. The last emergency aid was sent to the Syrian Druze in March.
The clashes between Druze and Bedouins broke out on Sunday. According to the British-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory (SOHR), nearly 600 people have been killed.
