At least nine people have been killed in an Israeli attack near the Israeli-American organization Gaza Humanitarian Foundations (GHF) aid station in the Al-Shahoush area, northwest of the city of Rafah, according to the Hamas-controlled civil defense spokesman Mahmud Bassal.
One more person has been killed and eight have been injured as a result of Israeli gunfire against civilians gathered at a distribution point for emergency aid near the Netzarim corridor, south of Gaza City, Bassal added in the statement.
The Israeli military (IDF) tells AFP that they are not aware of the incident near Rafah.
Meanwhile, the director of Kuwait's field hospital in Gaza warns that they are "witnessing an unprecedented influx of displaced people".
"We are receiving cases suffering from extreme exhaustion and total fatigue, in addition to severe malnutrition and acute malnutrition due to prolonged lack of food," said the doctor and director Sohaib Al-Hums in a statement.
The charity organization Doctors Without Borders warned last week that their staff in Gaza witnessed rising levels of acute malnutrition and that the levels had never been higher at two of their facilities in the area.
