The Swedes have traveled to Denmark to commit serious violent crimes in the conflict between different criminal groups that is ongoing in the country, according to Sveriges Radio P3 Krim.

This is something new for us. We have not seen this before, that young people from Sweden are recruited to Denmark to throw a hand grenade or shoot another person, says Torben Granat Svarrer, deputy chief of the Danish police's national unit for special criminality, to P3 Krim.

The Swedes have in many cases been recruited through ads that flourish in social media. The Danish police estimate that there are 25 cases where Swedes have crossed the Öresund to perform criminal assignments for payment. Half of the crimes have been prevented by the police.
