They have won Melodifestivalen. Will Jakob and Axel from KAJ also win the other big Swedish TV competition - “På spåret”? They probably don't know what they're getting themselves into, says host Kristian Luuk, laughing.
MusicEveryone thought they would win - but a fourth place is nothing to be ashamed of. So reasons KAJ after the Eurovision final. What is nice is that the mark we leave in Eurovision is our best. We were so damn pleased when we got off the stage, says Jakob Norrgård.
MusicIt became no victory for the favorite-tipped KAJ. Austria's JJ wins the Eurovision and thereby deprives Sweden of its eighth victory in the competition. I'm completely exhausted, says JJ after the win.
MusicKAJ has been the favorite to win the European Song Contest since then. But the trio itself does not take the victory for granted. We are probably less sure now, when you've seen the others' performances. It's about coming in with lowered expectations, says Kevin Holmström.
MusicThe final is looming for KAJ, who are the favourites in the Eurovision Song Contest. The trio feel the pressure – and have just understood that they will be disappointed if they lose. I would probably feel a little sting. Unless Finland wins, then we would really celebrate, says Axel Åhman.
MusicKAJ has shown where the sauna should stand. The trio goes – just as expected – on to the final in Eurovision. So damn nice, says Jakob Norrgård after the advancement.
MusicKAJ has already been in Basel for ten days. They have done loads of interviews, met other artists – and rehearsed "Bara bada bastu". But we are looking forward to the semifinal, where there are real Eurovision fans. We long for total madness, says Axel Åhman.
MusicFinland has in principle two winning chances in the European Championship this year, says the country's representative Erika Vikman. Her "I'm coming" is also one of the favorites. It feels weird but also fun with KAJ. It's a big year for us in Finland.
MusicEven before the European Championship gets underway in Basel next week, a global winner has emerged on Spotify. "Bara bada bastu" with KAJ has been streamed more than twice as much as the second on the list.
MusicKAJ is a big favorite ahead of the European Championship final and admits that they are starting to feel a certain favorite pressure. We are aiming for it to be Sweden and Finland on first and second place, it would be magical, says Jakob Norrgård.
EntertainmentWhole Europe has KAJ fever it seems – the trio is the favorite ahead of the European Championship final. And no one is more surprised than themselves. In Melodifestivalen we struck from below, now anything can happen, says Axel Åhman.
MusicBefore the performance in Eurovision in Basel, a completely new sauna has been built for KAJ. It is constructed in several parts and a bit darker in color. We have only gotten to see pictures so far, says Axel Åhman.
MusicKAJ must redo their number ahead of the semifinal in the European Championship. The sauna is to be rebuilt and a backing vocalist is forced to stay at home.
MusicAfter the final of the European Song Contest in Basel in May, KAJ sets out on a major summer tour in Sweden and Finland.
MusicSnowstorms, jubilation and a large press entourage welcomed the trio KAJ home to Vörå in Ostrobothnia, Finland, after their victory in the Melodifestivalen on the other side of the Baltic Sea.
MusicKaj's incredible victory in Melodifestivalen will have positive effects in Eurovision. Experts believe it - and the band themselves. Eurovision fans are happy that Sweden dares to take a risk. And we are happy that Sweden took a chance on us, says Jakob Norrgård.
MusicKaj has been a public favorite, but the odds of beating Måns Zelmerlöw were still high. Now "Bara bada bastu" took home the final battle – and Kaj becomes Sweden's representative in the European Championship in Basel. Crazy, unbelievable, huge! It's too big to comprehend, you don't understand anything. This is just completely bananas, says Kaj to TT.
EntertainmentThe comedy group Kaj has sailed up as Melodifestival favorites. It has also meant a breakthrough – in their home country. When Finns do something abroad that others like, then it must be good and we can be proud, says Axel Åhman.
MusicMåns Zelmerlöw and KAJ have secured each a final spot – at least if you believe the Melodifestivalen club's audience survey. However, there is greater uncertainty surrounding who will take third place.
