NFC wants to identify deceased using DNA genealogy

The double murder in Brattås was a mystery for over 20 years. Using DNA genealogy, investigators found a suspect within a few months. The requirements for permitting the method are high, but the genealogists at the NFC also hope it will be used to identify unidentified deceased. "There are relatives there too, and graves without names," says Siri Aili Fagerholm, operations expert.
