The Swedish podcast listening continues to increase, according to Spotify's report "Poddrapporten 2024".
According to the streaming service, 57 percent of all Swedes listen to podcasts at least once a month, which is an increase of 6 percent since 2021. Young people listen more and more often – more than half of the country's 18-29-year-olds listen to podcasts at least once or several times a week.
The two most popular formats are documentary storytelling and conversation podcasts, and on the list of what listeners want more of are history, politics, and the judicial system.
