Ten former Olympic athletes are selected for the new edition of the entertainment program "Mästarnas mästare". All of them have been involved before.

Anja Pärson, Peter Forsberg, Michel Tornéus, Therese Alshammar, Danijela Rundqvist, Emma Green, Anders Södergren, Lars Frölander, Magdalena Forsberg and André Myhrer have also competed in previous seasons of the program, seven of them have even won. This time, however, they will compete in pairs, writes SVT in a press release.

"We are talking about some of Sweden's best athletes of all time, where almost all have won an Olympic Games medal during their career" says the new host Karin Frick in the press release.

The recordings are made in Greece and the athletes compete in teams within their respective sports.

"With this fantastic starting field, it was not possible to say no. We have followed each other's careers and competed in the Olympic Games under the Swedish flag, but never really had time to sit down together", says Anja Pärson.

She competes in the alpine team together with André Myhrer.

Former long jumper and "Mästarnas mästare" winner Michel Tornéus competes together with athletics colleague Emma Green.

"The competitions and the opposition are always tough in this program, but I believe in us and we will really give it our all in all competitions", he says.

The program premieres in March 2026 after the Olympic Games in Cortina.
