The books are the basis for the TV series whose creator got tired a long time ago and wrote his own ending. These went from being loved to, in many people's eyes, becoming scapegoats and guilty of a criticized ending that was brought forward too quickly.
Two promised books remain: "The winds of winter" and "A dream of spring". When George RR Martin answered the fans' questions during the convention "WorldCon" in Seattle, a reader thought the fantasy author should get help, reports NME.
The reader did not think they had much time left to live and therefore wondered if another present author, Brandon Sanderson, could finish writing the book series instead?
The question led to boos from the audience, whereupon the question session was ended prematurely.
This is too much. I also want the books to be published, but the man (George RR Martin) deserves respect, said a person present.
An unfinished book series is no reason to behave like a bastard, thought another who emphasized that George RR Martin has not done anything wrong. Besides, it's just "a book". Or two.
