Victor Johansson took revenge for his second place last year and won the Vansbro swim.
The Swedish Olympic hope swam the 3,000 meters in Vanån and Västerdalälven in Dalarna in a time of 29.29. The 25-year-old, who has been plagued by injuries and accidents, was only one second from Brazilian Diogo Villarino's record time from 2018.
Johansson is selected to swim the 400, 800, and 1,500 meter freestyle events at the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris. Immediately after the Vansbro swim, he rushed off to swim the 1,500 meters at the Swedish Championships in Linköping this afternoon at 5 pm.
Sofie Callo von Platen won the women's class at the Vansbro swim in a time of 34.25, four seconds ahead of second-place Thilda Häll.
