Despite numerous efforts and measures taken in 2024 to manage the set budget, Linköping now acknowledges that they will end up with a deficit in 2025.
A deficit amounting to approximately 2.5 million kronor, according to the club's website.
"A new board and sports management took over in 2024 with a previously established budget. The board and management have worked hard together to try to get the economy right despite the challenges we've faced this year," says Maria Hagström, chairman.
The economic result needs to be addressed immediately.
"Right now, we need Linköping FC's support and backing to continue playing football at an elite level."
Linköping FC has played in Sweden's top league for the past 20 years and has three Swedish Championship titles – most recently in 2017.
