When the all-Swedish twelve Halmstad traveled to Borås to play against the top team Elfsborg, few probably believed that the Hallanders would be able to take points, let alone win the match.
But that was exactly what the away team did. Halmstad won the match 2–1.
The bottom team took the lead during the first half's added time on a penalty through Emmanuel Yeboah.
In the 66th minute, Julius Magnusson equalized for Elfsborg to 1–1, which for a long time seemed to hold all the way. But in the 85th minute, Pascal Gregor decided for Halmstad with his 2–1 goal.
Elfsborg thus loses in the top, where they now lie fifth after AIK won in parallel 1–0 against Degerfors. At the same time, Halmstad takes crucial points in the bottom battle.
