The Media Academy's annual Power Barometer, focusing on economic influencers, shows that 29 women are among the 100 who reach and engage the most in social media. This is a significant increase compared to last year when six women qualified.
The most powerful woman is Sara Wimmercranz, who, in addition to topping the economic list on Instagram, comes second in a total review of all social media.
"Women have taken an increasingly prominent place in almost all categories during the year. This may be due to their having greater overall confidence, but also to more women engaging in all aspects of the economy and seeking accounts to identify with," says the Media Academy's chairman Emanuel Karlsten in a press release.
Wimmercranz is competing in the winter edition of "På spåret" and has also appeared on SVT's "Draknästet".
She is followed on the list by Hanna Olvenmark with the savings account "Portionen under tian". Other powerful economic women on the list are Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (The Moderate Party) and influencer Isabella Löwengrip.
At the top of the Media Academy's economic list is Christian Karlsson, with the account Ekonomigurun. Last year's number one, Mikael Damberg (S), is fourth on this year's list.
