A 45-year-old man is sentenced to forensic psychiatric care for murdering a woman in Norrköping by injecting her with narcotics-classified preparations.

The man himself has denied the crime, but according to Norrköping District Court, it is proven that he injected the woman with a lethal dose of narcotics using a syringe.

The court believes that there is no evidence to suggest that the woman consented to what happened, and even if it is not clear that the man's intention was for her to die, he must have realized that there was a high risk of her doing so. Furthermore, he prevented another person who was present in the apartment from calling for help afterwards.

Overall, it is therefore proven that the man intentionally killed the woman and should be convicted of murder.

It was in November last year that the police were alerted to the apartment in Beckershov, Norrköping, where the woman was found dead. The 45-year-old was also found in the apartment, was arrested and has been detained since then.

A forensic psychiatric examination has shown that he suffers from a serious mental disorder. After the forensic psychiatric care is completed, the man will be sentenced to life imprisonment, according to Norrköping District Court.
