A man has been detained after a woman was found lifeless in a residence in Hudiksvall.
Initially, a heart stoppage was reported, but once on site, the ambulance personnel alerted the police. Circumstances suggest that a crime may be behind the death.
I cannot disclose what the circumstances are, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson for the police.
The man, who previously had some type of relationship with the woman, is suspected of murder, alternatively manslaughter.
A technical investigation has been conducted and a brief initial interrogation with the man has been held. A forensic medical examination will be performed to determine the cause of death, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.
