A woman has been found dead in a residence in Västerås. A man who was in the same residence has been arrested and subsequently detained, according to the police.
Both the man and the woman are in their 35s and the police are investigating the incident as murder or manslaughter.
The police received the alarm at midnight, on Saturday night, but do not want to say whether the man was a resident of the apartment or what his relationship was to the woman.
I cannot comment on that at present out of consideration for the relatives, says Maria Hall, press spokesperson for the police.
