– It is a security issue, since we do not know who has settled there and why. What we know is that someone has barricaded themselves in properly and set up some kind of alarm system, says Peter Lind, safety coordinator at Södermalm's city district administration, to the newspaper.
Usually, free ferries go to the islands in late summer, but now two out of three are closed off. On one of the islands, someone has converted a sheep shelter into a small cottage, with walls and windows – and made themselves at home. According to a police report, unauthorized power lines have been drawn to the shed, trees have been felled, cats have been brought out and another shed has been used as a toilet.
The islets are a nature reserve and an important breeding ground for birds. Therefore, there is a ban on landing or anchoring near there until the end of July.
The bailiff has been called in to evict the person.
