A person has died after a extensive fire in an apartment in Linköping, the police write on their website.
Police, ambulance and rescue services were alerted at 5 pm on Thursday afternoon to a multi-family house after smoke poured out of an apartment. A woman aged 55-60 was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and in the morning the police announced that she had died.
The police classify the incident as suspected gross arson. A man in his 65-year-old has been detained.
