A man has been arrested on suspicion of planning a bombing against a restaurant in Umeå. He was arrested at Arlanda Airport outside Stockholm after being deported from Thailand, reports SVT News Västerbotten.

We received information that he would come to Sweden, says Thomas Palmgren, head of investigations at the police, to SVT.

The man, who is in his 20s, was wanted. He was arrested in absentia at the end of January suspected of serious crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods.

The police suspect that he has handled fragmentation bombs intended to be used to blow up a restaurant and a car.

A detention hearing against the man will be held on Friday. Another man has already been arrested in the same investigation.
