Vattenfall is hesitant about wind power project

After the decision to pause the wind power project Kriegers Flak, there is now a risk that Vattenfall will be forced to wait with Kattegatt Syd off Falkenberg as well. This is stated by Vattenfall's CEO Anna Borg.

There is absolutely a risk that we will come to the same conclusion. But we're doing what we can to see how we can get the costs down in the project. We're talking to our suppliers and those who might consider buying the electricity from there as well, says Anna Borg in the interview with Dagens industri.

One of the reasons to pause Kriegers Flak has been the cost of connecting the wind farm to the grid. The government believes that Vattenfall, not the state, should bear the cost and Energy Minister Ebba Busch (KD) has, among other things, said that "Vattenfall doesn't have a grip on their things".

I was a bit surprised, but I feel very confident that we have a grip on how our investment calculations look and how our projects look, says Borg about Busch's statement.
