Suddenly, the driver lost control of the truck, which was traveling on a mountain road in western Nepal. At least eight people died and four were injured when the vehicle veered off the road and rolled 200 meters, according to the country's military.
The accident occurred near the village of Shaileshikar, located 60 miles west of the capital Kathmandu.
The truck was on its way back to the village with people who had been to a festival in a nearby town. The military used a helicopter to rescue the four injured and transport them to hospital.
Exactly what caused the accident is unclear, but it is well known that Nepal's narrow mountain roads are not well maintained.
