USA snatches gold from Finland in Junior World Championship

The USA wins the Junior World Championship in ice hockey. But it required overtime for the Americans to snatch the gold from Finland, with 4–3.

The match went to overtime after 3–3, following a goalless third period. Finland took the lead in the first period and went up to 3–1 at the beginning of the second, but the USA came back.

The Czech Republic took bronze after a win against Sweden. There, it required 14 penalty shots after a scoreless overtime for the Czechs to win with 3–2.
