Dutch ASML Holding, which manufactures equipment for semiconductor factories around the world, reports a net profit of 1.6 billion euros for the second quarter.
This was a profit increase of 29 percent compared to the second quarter of 2023 and can be compared to an average forecast of 1.4 billion, according to Bloomberg's compilation of forecasts.
Net sales rose 18 percent to 6.2 billion, against expected 6.0 billion.
For the third quarter, ASML expects net sales of 6.7-7.3 billion euros, which is slightly below the average forecast.
