The Danish wind power company Ørsted is plummeting with over 15 percent on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. This after American authorities announced that the company must stop its work on an offshore wind project off the US east coast.
The project, known as Revolution Wind, is 80 percent complete and the company is now considering legal action. The Governor of Rhode Island, Dan McKee, has also protested against the decision on X and writes that, in addition to affecting hundreds of jobs, it also has consequences for the energy supply of 350,000 homes in the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
