The head of the UN's atomic energy agency IAEA, Rafael Grossi, warns of "extremely serious" risks due to the fighting at the nuclear power plant in Kursk in Russia.
Grossi visited the plant on Tuesday, while battles were ongoing in the region between Ukrainian forces and Russian soldiers in the Russian region.
The IAEA's Secretary-General said it was of great importance to him to "see the most important parts of the facility".
It sounds like common sense and simple advice: do not attack a nuclear power plant, said Grossi, who noted that the Ukrainian ground offensive and subsequent battles were ongoing a few kilometers away.
He added that he has close contacts with Russian authorities, and that he will travel to Kiev for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj next week.
