At least two people have been killed and several people have been injured since a perpetrator shot at a crowd in a park in the city of Rochester in the northwestern part of the state of New York on Sunday evening.
The perpetrator opened fire on hundreds of people who had gathered for a picnic in Maplewood Park.
According to Police Chief David Smith, shots were fired from several weapons, but it is not known how many perpetrators may have been involved. No suspects have been arrested after the incident.
We are trying to find out what happened by interviewing as many witnesses as we can, said police officer Greg Bello at a press conference.
