A man in his 80s died after a head-on collision outside Hjo on Saturday. A woman in her 80s, who was traveling in the same car, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Early on Sunday morning, the police announced that the woman had died from her injuries, reports Nya Lidköpings-Tidningen.
She is said to have died late on Saturday evening, says Fredrik Bergström, station commander at Skövde police, to the newspaper.
Just before 4 pm on Saturday, two cars collided on Highway 195 at Fågelås Norra.
In the other car, a man in his 40s was seriously injured and is being treated in hospital.
Both vehicles have been seized by the police and the incident is being investigated as reckless driving.
