The two were at odds and it led to the now convicted man shooting the other, who was seriously injured and received intensive care for a period of time.
The convicted man has stated that he was threatened and feared for his life. Therefore, the defense argued that the man should be acquitted since he acted in self-defense. However, the Värmland District Court follows the prosecutor's line and sentences the man to twelve years in prison for attempted murder and weapons offenses.
