TV4 does not want to reveal what the program will be called yet, but it will be recorded in the spring and is based on an international format, "Fortune hotel", which has been broadcast, among other things, on British TV.
The recordings take place at a luxury hotel somewhere abroad. When "Fortune hotel" was launched in the UK, it was described as a mix of "Traitors", the TV series "White Lotus", and the TV game "Deal or no deal".
In the new program, participants compete in pairs, which can be spouses, friends, buddies, or colleagues. It's about making smart decisions and building alliances with the other participants. The smartest pair, which ultimately emerges as the winner, takes home one million kronor.
When the competition begins, each pair receives a silver-colored suitcase. One contains the million, the rest are empty, except for one suitcase that contains a "checkout card". The pair that has the latter suitcase at the end of each program must leave the hotel and the competition.
During the programs, the pairs participate in various competitions to gain advantages. Because at the end of each episode, all suitcases can change owners. But the one who has the money can try to keep their suitcase by bluffing.
TV4 does not want to reveal who will be the host of the venture or when it will be broadcast yet.
