It got chaotic at a demonstration in Borås in support of Palestine on Saturday afternoon.
The police were first alerted that a driver had driven into the demonstration procession.
Then the driver contacted the police and reported that several people had hit his car and punctured a tire. The driver, a man in his 70s, also said that he had been hit in the face.
We're trying to sort this out and hold interviews with witnesses, says police spokesperson Peter Adlersson to TT.
According to the police, no one needed to be taken to hospital by ambulance after the incident.
Several police reports have been filed. The police are investigating the matter, including reckless driving, assault, and vandalism.
There's nothing to suggest that anyone would have driven into people intentionally, says Henrik Lidhage, on-duty investigative leader at the police, to Borås Tidning.
