The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump shifts focus and attacks Kamala Harris, at his first campaign meeting since President Joe Biden dropped out of his re-election campaign.

She is a radical left-wing extremist who will destroy the country if she ever gets the chance, says Trump.

Trump, wearing his usual red tie, says from the podium that something "happened to him when he got shot".

I became nice. But when you deal with such dangerous people, and they are dangerous, you can't be too nice, he says, referring to his political opponents.

The campaign meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the first since Joe Biden dropped out as the Democratic presidential candidate.

Now we have a new victim to win over, the liar Kamala Harris, says Trump.

She was the most incompetent and left-wing extremist vice president in American history, says Trump.

"Total catastrophe"

Trump accuses Harris of having "opened the borders and let a lot of illegal immigrants flood in" and implies that she failed to stop Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

He also says that she is the most left-wing politician in the USA.

Everything Kamala touches turns into a total catastrophe, says Trump.

"Behind everything"

He continues to repeat his claims that US President Joe Biden has problems with his mental health and lied about it – but now also claims that it is Kamala Harris who is behind his dropout.

For three and a half years, Harris shamelessly lied to the public to cover up Joe Biden's mental health. She is the one behind everything.

Trump also praises the audience that participated in the campaign meeting in Pennsylvania a couple of weeks ago, when Trump was subjected to an assassination attempt and injured in the ear. He calls the audience heroes who stood their ground and did not flee when the shooting started.
