He writes since he had a conversation with the Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Wednesday.
"She has agreed to stop migration through Mexico and into the USA, which in practice means that our southern border is closed", Trump writes.
Sheinbaum, however, gives a different picture of the conversation between the two.
"We want to repeat that Mexico's position is not about closing borders but about building bridges between governments and people", the Mexican President writes in a post on X, where she also emphasizes:
"In the conversation with President Trump, I explained Mexico's comprehensive strategy regarding migration, where human rights are respected".
