Lasse Berghagen, the former host of the TV program "Allsång på Skansen", was hailed during Tuesday evening's broadcast with a cavalcade of songs from his career.

Berghagen passed away on October 19, 2023, and his memory was honored during the evening with songs like "Ding dong", "Hålligång i skogen" and "Sträck ut din hand".

He left an enormous void behind him, and it was like a national mourning. But what's so beautiful is that Lasse's memory, and Lasse's music, will live on forever, said the current host Pernilla Wahlgren, before she, together with a children's choir and the audience, began singing "Teddybjörnen Fredriksson".

The famous line "he took off his jacket, kicked off both shoes" from "En kväll i juni" was sung by Tommy Nilsson. During the song, clips from Lasse Berghagen's time on "Allsång på Skansen" were shown, including one where a person held up a sign that read "no sing-along without Lasse".

Between 1994 and 2003, Lasse Berghagen was the host of "Allsång på Skansen".
