At least seven people have died in connection with Storm Debby's passage along the American east coast. In the wake of the storm, several tornadoes have destroyed both buildings and infrastructure.
The storm swept in over the American mainland already on Monday, and has caused major flooding in, among other places, the states of Florida and North and South Carolina during its journey northwards.

Debby is expected to continue moving over the country and reach the state of Vermont, which borders Canada, over the weekend.
